Our Story

In September of 2003, owners Liz & Kevin Shelton opened Everything But The Cook.  Their Mission: to provide quality kitchen essentials for novice cooks and professional at home chefs.

Everything But The Cook can help you by providing guidance when selecting products, based on personal and professional needs. If Everything But The Cook does not have a needed or requested item, every effort will be made to help you locate it.

Liz & Kevin also own and operate An Affair To Remember, A Party Store, and have since 1993.  The Party Store is at the historic Boston & Maine railroad station building, which is located at 28 Central Street, in Woodsville, New Hampshire.  The Party Store specializes in partyware, decorations, wedding invitations, wedding essentials, wedding & event planning, tuxedo rentals, and collectibles - such as Department 56, Byers Choice Carolers, Jim Shore,  & Willow Tree.  The Party Store also offers a Christmas Room that is open all year.

In the late summer of 2016, Everything But The Cook moved it's physical location to it's Sister Store - An Affair To Remember, A Party Store, located in the old railroad station building.  Both stores are now combined at 28 Central Street, in Woodsville, NH.  This gives shoppers a unique shopping experience, while maintaining our high quality of service.
